Mark Crim
Interim Conductor

Mr. Mark Crim, a charter member of the Tyler Community Band, returns in 2008 as Interim Conductor.  He holds the Bachelor of Music from The University of Texas at Tyler, the Master of Music from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University.

He is the Director of Fine Arts for White Oak ISD, where he directs the “Regiment of Roughnecks” marching band and conducts the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble.  Mr. Crim also serves as Director of Music Ministries at Greggton United Methodist Church in Longview.  He is active as a performer, researcher, clinician and adjudicator. 

Mr. Crim maintains professional affiliations including the Texas Music Educator’s Association, Texas Bandmaster’s Association, Association of Texas Small School Bands, Association of Concert Bands, and the International Trumpet Guild.
